Biography
Meredith A. Bettenhauser is the newest attorney now serving as â??of counselâ?? to Hession Bekoff Cooper and Lo Piccolo, LLP. Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Bettenhauser was a Criminal Trial Attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Nassau County for over three years, handling a full range of criminal cases. While at Legal Aid, Ms. Bettenhauser was lead counsel in approximately 5,000 criminal cases including assaults, DWIâ??s, robberies, larcenies, sexual assaults, and burglaries. Ms. Bettenhauser handled the trial of cases at both the misdemeanor and felony levels prior to leaving for private practice. Ms. Bettenhauserâ??s experience defending her clients is rooted in her deep sense of justice and an unwavering dedication to her clientâ??s interests
