Biography

Joseph A. Lo Piccolo is the newest partner at Hession, Bekoff, Cooper and Lo Piccolo, LLP. Mr. Lo Piccolo was a Senior Criminal Trial Attorney with the Legal Aid Society of New York, Queens County, prior to joining Hession, Bekoff & Cooper in 2003. While at Legal Aid, Mr. Lo Piccolo was lead counsel in over 7,000 criminal matters including homicide, robbery, and sexual assault cases. Mr. Lo Piccolo took over 20 misdemeanor and felony cases to trial in Queens prior to leaving for private practice.  Since joining the firm, Mr. Lo Piccolo has expanded his state criminal defense practice to both federal and military courts, including more than 25 criminal trials ranging from Homicide and Robbery to Assault and Driving While Intoxicated with great success for all his clients.
